A P P L E T R E E W I C K For this small back garden, the client wanted us to pull in elements of the surrounding Dales and offer her a reminder of a favourite stream where she walks her dog. The garden will be viewed year round from the recently completed extension. She wanted to retain some grass, which will be kept longer than normal with various spring bulbs creating a the feel of a meadow. A York stone sett path runs up to the water feature, with a stepping stone bridge taking the place of the wooden one in the original design. The planting is naturalistic and largely native while remaining relatively low maintenance.
